GET CREATIVE WITH YOUR FERMENTS

Wild Culture is made to be enjoyed every day. Add a little tang and crunch to breakfast, lunch or dinner—or just eat it straight from the jar. Here are a few of our favourite ways to enjoy it.

Kimchi Fried Rice

A quick, savoury meal with a little heat and a lot of flavour.

Kimchi fried rice is one of the easiest ways to turn leftover rice into something seriously delicious.

Top it with a fried egg and you've got dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked, chilled rice

  • 1 cup Wild Culture Kimchi, roughly chopped

  • 2 green onions, sliced

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 tbsp neutral cooking oil

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tsp sesame seeds, optional

Directions

  1. Heat the cooking oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. Add the chopped kimchi and cook for 2–3 minutes.

  3. Add the cold rice and stir-fry until heated through and well combined.

  4. Add the soy sauce and sesame oil and stir to combine.

  5. Remove from heat and stir in half of the green onions.

  6. Fry the eggs separately.

  7. Divide the rice between two bowls and top each with a fried egg, remaining green onions and sesame seeds.
